A large, elegant blackware hydria from Magna Graecia, dating to the late 4th - early 3rd Century BC.

With broad splayed foot and voluminous, acorn-shaped, reeded body, a cylindrical neck, two upturned handles, and a third vertical handle at the back. Covered with a black glaze, the rim with egg-and-dart decoration and the neck with a delicate olive sprig necklace, added in red.
