Egyptian Predynastic Pottery Jar - 3600 BC

An Egyptian Predynastic pottery jar, dating to the Naqada II period, circa 3600 - 3200 BC.

A tall, ovoid vessel with flat base, the mouth with a thick, collared rim. Covered with a pinkish orange slip and painted with bands of vertical umber-coloured wave patterns.
