Marcus Aurelius is one of the most important and highly regarded Emperors in Roman history. He is remembered as a philosopher and a scholar, and we are fortunate that many of his thoughts have been preserved through the ages in his personal writings, The Meditations;

“You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realise this, and you will find strength.” - Marcus Aurelius.
