An ancient Chinese terracotta guardian figure or lokapala, dating to China's Tang dynasty, circa 618 - 907 AD.

The heavenly guardian stands proudly, crushing a fallen demon. The figure is shown heavily armoured, the shoulders with leonine masks, a pointed helmet on his head.
